Dean's Message

The faculty, curricula, policies and facilities are the key components of the academic system of any University. The effectiveness of each of these components directly influences the effectiveness of student learning. The Deanship of Academic Development (DAD) has therefore been established to strengthen the academic system of the university. The deanship is dedicated to providing resources for faculty development, improvement of instructional processes and practices and quality assurance to help achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning at the university.

The activities of the deanship involve events organized for the faculty members, the consultation provided to them for the enhancement of their teaching, documenting academic processes and the promotion of the use of technology in instruction. We strive to mobilize all available resources and look for new avenues for the betterment of the academics at the university. I invite all KFUPM faculty to participate and take the maximum advantage of our efforts to improve the academic standards on campus in our common commitment to the learning of our students.

Dr. Abdulaziz Alaswad

Acting Dean, Academic Development
